Monday Night is renowned for its ever-popular ‘Mirth on Monday’ comedy night, hosted twice-monthly by Manchester Comedian of the year 2002 runner-up, Des Sharples.
Des is something of a leading light on the Manchester comedy circuit, working tirelessly to promote local talent, and at the same time perfecting his own craft as a comic entertainer , and has pulled over 2,000 comedians from the likes of Alan Carr, Roy Walker, Steve Edge, Smug Roberts, Jonior Simpson, Justin Moorehouse, Jason Manford, Johnny Vegas - and Peter Kay has popped in for a pint and a panini!

Film fans will also recognise him from his appearance as ‘Jack’ in the hugely succesful movie ‘Looking for Eric‘ .
He is also a rather good DJ.

This highly regarded comedy night, now in its ninth year, has broken boundaries by bringing the comedy circuit to new audiences, and has also expanded into monthly themed comedy nights.
