Open Mic night, with host the inimitable Charlie Allen. One of the longest standing open night evenings currently still running, in its 10th year.

Rock ‘n’ roll!
All music tastes are welcomed, with a whole cross-section of performers. Come down and have a jam, or just enjoy discounted drinks whilst listening to some great music, performed by local talent.
You can be sure of a warm welcome from a friendly and supportive crowd, many of whom are musicians themselves.
From acoustic folk and pop to experimental prog, from guitars and keyboards to thumb pianos, didgeridoos and theremins! We even have one regular performer who often brings home-made instruments. Anything goes!
Keyboard and PA provided, plus we have Radim, our professional sound engineer, operating the desk to make you sound especially wonderful.

From December 2010 we began recording the performances at the open mic, and a selection of these are then played on North Manchester FM’s Friday night ‘Late Junction’ show, hosted by Jonathan Darwin, between 10pm-12:00am. Some artists from the night will also be invited to be interviewed on the radio too, giving you a chance to take your work to a wider audience. (You may opt of of being recorded if you wish).
